Using excerpts from 104 feature films, and poems by Forugh Farokhzad, Ahmad Shamlu and Adunis, this essay film sews together a hallucinatory account of love and desire in post revolutionary Iranian cinema, where the screening of tactual contact is prohibited and intimacy is regulated.

The film touches on touch through its lack: a discrete exploration of tact-less contact, touching without touching – a contact at a distance. One that is exaggerated and intensified in its absence and prohibition, – focusing on its inwardness; the unknown within us that appears familiar yet remains foreign.
